Shannon Matus is one of the Cactus Technology Solutions team’s newest members, and she has been such an incredible contribution to our organization. Shannon has a passion for positively helping others, and she looks at her position at Cactus as a way to do just that.
Shannon has the drive to find new technology solutions that can generate more business revenue and implement them to her clients. Shannon states, “my Faith motivates me to get up and work every day, seeing where I can make a positive impact for people, I can somehow help a person who is needing solutions, and at the same time I can help out a company, which in turn helps out their employees.” Shannon recognizes that technology is utilized to drive people and keep them connected, and it helps businesses stay competitive in their industry.
Shannon has fit right in with the Cactus team, and when asked about the company culture, she stated that “what attracted me to Cactus is that they literally take on the ‘Trusted Advisor’ role, they want to help, and they love what they do; it’s great to be around.” Shannon described the company culture at Cactus as a “supportive, knowledgeable, fun, and creative group of individuals.”
Shannon’s perspective on life is saturated with positivity, and she chooses to focus on just that. Shannon “concentrates on her Faith because Faith without works is dead. [She] concentrates on the works that make that Faith a reality.” She also relies on her Faith even in the face of adversity and strives to look at life with rose-colored glasses. Shannon’s ultimate dream in life is to positively impact people, change someone’s perspective on life, and pass that down for generations.
Shannon not only talks about wanting to help others, but she has helped her local community and the Racing community in huge ways! She and her husband also own a racing business called ‘The Texas Mile,’ and they do top-speed motorsport. With each event, they make about a million-dollar economic impact for the community! They do two events a year, and Shannon calls each event “God’s event.” They have been able to make it happen for the past 18 years with her amazing team’s help.
In Shannon’s free time, she loves to spend time with her husband and German Shepard, Nala. When she can travel, she loves to go jeeping, scuba diving, explore in the mountains, and go on new adventures! Shannon has been such a great addition to the Cactus family, and we look forward to seeing how she will further impact the team at Cactus and clients down the road.
